The annual event — the only powwow of its kind in Iowa — is held on the only settlement in the state and is open to the public.

Grand Entry begins at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. daily during the four-day event, which the Meskwaki people describe as “a time of laughter, dancing, singing, remembering, and reconnecting with friends, family and the community each year.”
