Iowans enjoyed unseasonably warm temperatures this week, but a sure sign of the changing seasons comes with the end of Daylight Saving Time.
The time change happens at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, so remember to “fall back” an hour and adjust your clocks before you go to bed on Saturday.
We “lose” one hour of daylight at the end of the day, but “gain” an hour of sleep.
The switch to Standard Time happens annually on the first Sunday in November, with the switch back to Daylight Saving Time happening at 2 a.m., the second Sunday in March.

I’m 74 and am tired of the constant spring forward and fall back.Fortunately I’m retired now and except for Doctor appointments I don’t have to live according to the clock.
