Good food awaits at the Downtown Farmers Market in Cedar Rapids. This is the time of year when so many veggies are in season: beans, tomatoes, sweet corn, cucumbers and the list goes on and on.
Expect to find all of that produce and more this Saturday in downtown Cedar Rapids as well as at other farmers markets throughout Eastern Iowa.

The next Downtown Farmers’ Market is 7:30 a.m. to noon, Sat., Aug. 3 in downtown Cedar Rapids.
The Day Sponsor is the Mercy Medical Center. Stop by the Mercy booth at the corner of Third Street and Fourth Avenue where they will have kid-friendly activities at their booth where they will also hand out apples.
Saturday’s market theme is Health Living.
Free parking is available in the Fourth Ave. and GTC Ramps, in addition to free on-street parking. Handicap parking is free and available in the in the Guaranty Bank lot from Second Ave. SE.
More than 220 local Iowa vendors and street performers will be along Third and Fourth Avenues, Second, Third and Fifth Streets SE, as well as in Greene Square Park. The venue has been adjusted slightly due to construction projects and progress made in downtown.
