The gardens at Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids are ever-changing and have been gorgeous every time I’ve visited this summer.

An upcoming garden tour offers another opportunity to visit – though any time is good – with the added bonus of experts to guide you through the gardens.

See a sneak peek of the gardens here and read on for more from Friends of Noelridge Park about the upcoming tour:

Noelridge Park Garden Tour
Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The City of Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department and Friends of Noelridge Park would like to invite the community to tour the beautiful Noelridge Gardens on Wednesday, September 2, 2015.

Noelridge Horticulturalist, Kristie Benzine, will be leading guests through the gorgeous Noelridge Park Gardens. She will host two tours, the first beginning at 5:00 pm and the second beginning at 5:30 pm.

The event is free to the public, so simply come to the top of the Noelridge Park garden beds, next to the parking lot. Kristie will meet you there. Linn County Master Gardeners will also be on hand to talk about the ten “Herb of the Year” winners that are showcased in the Noelridge herb garden.

The flower gardens are at their peak right now so take advantage of this opportunity to see them at their best and to learn more about the plant varieties that do well in this area. Kristie is a gardening expert and will gladly offer information and advice for your home garden. Grab your notebook and camera and come join us for a walk in the garden!
