Yes, I realize it’s not a real word, but Czechtivity is how I refer to Czech activities in this part of Iowa.
My family traces its heritage on both sides to what is now the Czech Republic, with a wee bit o’Irish, as well.
Festivals and other events often incorporate Czech food and traditions in the Cedar Rapids area, and into surrounding communities.
