Dozens of seasonal farmers markets operate during warm-weather months in Eastern Iowa. I’m compiling a list of those to share with readers of several fabulous newspapers in the area.
If you are a market manager or a vendor or know of any farmers markets you would like to have included in the list, please leave a message below or on Facebook. Snow lingers on the ground, but fresh produce soon will be growing to sell at those markets.
Most seasonal markets run May through October. If you have information to share, please include the market’s name; address or location; start and end dates; days of the week the market is open and hours of operation. Also include contact information that can be published, such as an email, phone number or website for the market.
I’ll share more about where you can be among the first to find a copy of the list as the publication date nears.
I’m a local soapmaker based in Marion and I’ll be participating in the Cedar Rapids and Marion farmer’s markets this year. Would love to hear about other venues!

Victoria,
I’ll have a long list of those venues before the first ones open in April!
Victoria, if you don’t mind driving a little bit, you are welcome to head north to the Urbana Farmers’ Market this summer! Cindy should have the details for you in her list, or you can send me a note at louiesmom4@gmail.com. Even if you don’t head our way, I hope you have a wonderful Market season!
The Central City Mainstreet Farmer’s Market will operate this year from May 23rd through September 26th, every Thursday evening (with the exception of July 4th) from 4 – 6 pm at Courtyard Park on South 5th Street. Contact our Mainstreet office if you have any questions. 319.438.1761 or ccmainstreet@windstream.net
Thanks Ruthanne,
Central City is on the list! I’ll have to stop by this summer. It’s been awhile since I’ve visited!
