Iowa’s recent snowfall belies the spring season soon to blossom.

Chartreuse foliage that began to emerge during the short spate of warmth just a few days ago is now concealed under a layer of white, but another sure sign of spring takes place this weekend.

Daylight Saving Time goes into effect at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 13, 2022, the second Sunday of March.

Be sure to set your clocks forward one hour before going to bed on Saturday, March 12. While we lose an hour of sleep, we “gain” an hour of daylight.

The switch back to Standard Time happens the first Sunday in November.
