After an unusually warm start to the season, Iowa is feeling more like fall this week, and with the changing season comes the end of Daylight Saving Time.
The time change happens at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, so remember to “fall back” an hour and adjust your clocks if needed, before you go to bed on Saturday.
We “lose” one hour of daylight, but “gain” an hour of sleep.
The switch to Standard Time happens annually on the first Sunday in November, with the switch back to Daylight Saving Time happening the second Sunday in March at 2 a.m.
Whether or not you use a clock anymore, check out the astronomical clock in Czech Village, dedicated last year by presidents of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
