Noelridge is everyone’s park, as evidenced by a dedicated group of volunteers who keep the lush gardens looking incredible throughout the growing season.

Anyone who would like to contribute to the scenic beauty of Noelridge Park is invited to a series of “weeding parties” that take place on select Saturdays, beginning today, May 31, 2014.

Friends of Noelridge member Cheryl Hoech noted that volunteers gather at the gardens, at Council Street and Collins Road NE, from 9-11 a.m. Weeders bring their own tools, gloves and beverages. Refreshments are provided.

Weeding party dates for the remainder of the year are May 31; June 7 and 21; July 12 and 26; Aug. 9 and 23 and Sept. 6 and 20. If it rains, that day’s weeding is canceled.
