CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A new farmers market that was intended to start last year on the grounds of the Chrome Horse Saloon in New Bohemia finally had its kickoff on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
Michelle Hosch of MH Entertainment said plans were canceled last year due to the pandemic, but a dozen vendors offered baked goods, handcrafted items and more one year later, during the first farmers market in the parking lot of the Chrome Horse, 1201 Third St. SE.
Bands from the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy provided music at Saturday’s market, as temperatures once again soared near 90 degrees.
Future Chrome Horse markets will be held June 26, July 10 and 24 and Aug. 14. Vendors interested in participating can email: mhbooking1@gmail.com
