This weekend’s start of Standard Time in most of the United States marks the earliest possible end to Daylight Saving Time.

The switch happens at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026. The change to Standard Time takes place annually on the first Sunday in November, so Nov. 1 marks the earliest possible date.

If you have a clock that doesn’t automatically adjust, be sure to “fall back” one hour before going to bed on Halloween, Saturday, Oct. 31.

Daylight Saving Time will go back into effect the second Sunday in March.

The Buresh Immigration Clock Tower was dedicated in September 2024 as part of the 50th anniversary of the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini and Czech President Petr Pavel in attendance.

Earlier this year, two marble angels were added to the clock tower.
