UPDATE (Feb. 14, 2013): Kirkwood has closed the online enrollments so they can send confirmations to the enrollees. However, people can walk in on Saturday and register for the classes. There will be a registration desk with a Kirkwood representative to help.
One of the biggest gardening events of the year happens this Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in Cedar Rapids with the Winter Gardening Fair at Kirkwood Community College.
More than 500 people have already registered, but Michelle Kenyon Brown, master gardener coordinator for ISU Linn County Extension, said that spots are still available in some amazing classes. The event draws people from all over the state and is one of the largest gardening events in the state of Iowa. Michelle sent the following about the event, which is hosted by the Linn County Master Gardeners.
