CEDAR RAPIDS – The annual Easter showcase inside the balmy greenhouses at Noelridge Park will offer a tropical getaway for Iowans weary from an especially cold spring.

Admission is free to the event on Saturday, April 19, 2014 and Sunday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The park is at 4900 Council Street NE, just off Collins Road.

Visitors can see educational displays from the Eastern Iowa Aquarium Association and the Harshbarger Hosta Society and others, and may spot the Easter Bunny when he stops by.

The first 500 children, ages 12 and under will receive a free plant.

Houseplants, honey, handcrafted jewelry and pressed flower greeting cards will be available for sale. Call the Noelridge Greenhouse, (319) 286-5762, for more information.
