CEDAR RAPIDS – Hundreds of gardeners were treated to a taste of spring Saturday, March 3, during the 2018 Winter Gardening Fair.
Hosted by the Linn County ISU Extension Master Gardeners, the annual event was held at Kirkwood Community College, with more than 40 sessions, plus a keynote speech.

Raising monarchs, native trees, spring garden maintenance and ornamental grasses were among the topics explored during the daylong event, as well as hands-on workshops in making a butterfly nectar feeder, flower seed balls, wind chimes, “miniponics” and Kokedama: growing plants on a moss ball.
