I’ve tried many times to sum up the Winter Gardening Fair, but it never quite conveys all that happens during the full day of gardening classes.

With more than 50 workshops, the Linn County Master Gardeners continue to explore new topics and revisit perennial favorites with a different twist.

The best way to understand the event is to experience it first-hand, but here are some of the images captured of the displays and the workshops I attended today, on companion planting; food preservation and knife skills tips; bees in Iowa; a home greenhouse and keynote speech by Kelly D. Norris on the Garden in Four Seasons.
