With Daylight Saving Time occurring on the second Sunday of March, the time change this year takes place on the earliest possible date.

Daylight Saving Time goes into effect at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026.

If you have a clock that doesn’t automatically adjust, be sure to set it forward one hour before going to bed on Saturday, March 7. While we lose an hour of sleep, we “gain” an hour of daylight at the end of the day.

The switch back to Standard Time happens the first Sunday in November.

In Czech Village, the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library’s Buresh Immigration Clock Tower reopens at noon on Friday, March 20, 2026, to mark the start of spring.
