If you only come to ONE local Sierra Event this year, please come to our Annual Dinner. It’s fun and it’s our main fundraiser.
The Cedar-Wapsie Group of the Iowa Chapter of the Sierra Club will be holding our annual dinner on Saturday, March 16th, at the Clark Alumni House on the Coe College campus. Please join us for what promises to be a great evening!
The social hour (with a cash bar) begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by a very entertaining program.
Our speaker will be Holly Bressett, who is a Deputy Director with the Beyond Coal Campaign with a focus on several Central-region states. Holly is an attorney by trade, most recently practicing law with the Sierra Club’s Environmental Law Program in San Francisco. As Deputy Director, Holly is responsible for strategic oversight over the Campaign’s goal to move the United States beyond coal by 2030, creating room for a robust clean energy economy.
For your meal, please choose from a Tuscan Chicken Breast with Pesto Cream Sauce or our Vegetarian Entree: Spaghetti Squash with Sofrito & Vegan Pinto Beans.
Tickets are $35, and reservations are due by March 11th. Payments may be made at the door. Please RSVP to mikewyrick@gmail.com or call Mike Wyrick at 319-350-1063 by March 11th.
