CEDAR RAPIDS – Today’s weather was perfect for gardening, even if it meant the end of the season.

Several neighbors gathered to clean up the Mound View garden, on B Avenue NE. Amazingly, in November, tomatoes, summer squash, beans and other vegetables continue to grow.

The garden not only offers healthy, wholesome food throughout the growing season, but a spirit of community, as neighbors share ideas for preparing the vegetables and other gardening insights.
