Even as indoor farmers markets wrap up their season this month, the outdoor market season has already begun.

The Millwork Night Market in Dubuque launched its season on Thursday,  April 11, and for those of us whose memories of the harsh winter have been erased by the last week or so of spring, the weather that night was less than ideal.

Still, the intrepid vendors and market organizers chose not to cancel. Check out this plucky market on the second Thursday of each month through October.

As usual, a few markets have closed due to low attendance or other factors, but new ones have opened, too.

Regular customers help keep these markets open and the hard-working farmers, artists and producers in business.

Following are outdoor farmers markets operating in Eastern Iowa during 2019. If you know of others, leave the info in a message, below.

Feel free to link to this list and help spread the word about these farmers markets. For reprinting purposes, contact Cindy Hadish by leaving a message on this post.
