As promised, NewBo City Market is adding to its variety of anchor merchants.
Three new vendors will start in May at the market at 1100 Third St. SE in Cedar Rapids.

CEDAR RAPIDS – All the spring growth has us thinking about new beginnings, and we’re pleased to announce we’ve been doing some growing ourselves. Starting early this May, three new merchants will join us in our space at the Market: City Melt, The Sausage Foundry and Dumpling Darling.
Meet the Merchants:
City Melt: Got a hankering for gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches? You’re in luck! Your favorite childhood treat is all grown up and bringing its newfound sophistication to NewBo City Market.
The Sausage Foundry: Big Boy Meats is partnering with new merchant The Sausage Foundry, who’ll make sausages straight from their booth in NewBo. It doesn’t get any fresher than that, folks!
Dumpling Darling: You’ve found Dumpling Darling’s fusion creations at farmers markets and stores throughout the Iowa City area, but now you can try them fresh at their first permanent location at NewBo City Market.
As we help get our new merchants all settled in, we’ll continue our search for other new businesses to join the NewBo team. We’re taking applications for aspiring merchants here.

Thursday: 10am – 8pm
Friday: 10am – 6pm
Saturday: 10am – 6pm

Sunday: 10am – 4pm

I am excited that these new food entrepreneurs are able to realize their dreams. Their offerings are original and fun. I wish them much success. The Market would like to have more veggie product but it has been a tough nut to crack. I’m sure in the future someone will step forward to fill this gap.
