SeedBroadcast Iowa will be setting up their SWAP booth at the March 8 farmers market in Ely.
Ely always seems to be on the cutting edge of the local foods movement and now the town will have SeedBroadcast Iowa at its next indoor farmers market, March 8.
The market runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the Ely Public Library, 1595 Dows St.
Market coordinator Ali Alldredge notes that SeedBroadcast Iowa will set up their SWAP booth at this Saturday’s market, offering an opportunity for adults and children to interact with stories that have been shared about seeds and agriculture in their lives.

In addition to the SWAP station, the Ely Seed Lending Library will be providing seed starting demonstrations throughout the duration of the market on March 8. Containers, seed starting soil, and plenty of seeds and seed starting tips will be available.
The library’s beginning knitting/crafting group will follow at 12:30 p.m.; all are welcome.
