After being crowned the winner of this season’s American Idol on Monday, May 21, organizers of the market note that Poppe still plans to perform at Market After Dark, on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018.

Poppe, a 20-year-old native of Clarksville, Iowa, is scheduled to perform on the main stage at 6:30 p.m., followed by the 10-piece jazz & brass band, 10 of Soul, at 9 p.m.

Market After Dark has attracted about 30,000 visitors in each of its first three years.

This will likely be Poppe’s only Iowa performance, as this summer’s American Idol tour skips the state.

More than 10,000 fans turned out to see Poppe close to her hometown when she performed at the Butler County Fairgrounds last week after being named in the top three of American Idol.
