CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Visitors flocked to the Noelridge Greenhouse for a touch of spring during the annual Easter Showcase.

Tropical plants, cacti, seedlings and other plants that grow inside were on display March 30 and 31, 2024, intermingled with stuffed bunnies and other Easter décor.

House plants, native and perennial plants, birdhouses and pressed flower greeting cards were among items available for sale, with information provided by the Eastern Iowa Orchid Society, the Harshbarger Hosta Society and other groups.

After a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Easter Showcase returned in 2022. The free event began in 1973, marking its 50th anniversary last year.
