An auction to support the Linn County 4-H was postponed when floodwaters from the Wapsipinicon River were predicted to reach unprecedented levels, just at the Linn County Fair was underway.

The silent auction has since been moved online, with bidding open until July 31, 2013. Here is more from Linn County ISU Extension:

The Linn County 4-H Silent Auction typically happens every year during the Linn County Fair.  But this year due to the projected flood waters from the Wapsipinicon River flooding the Linn County Fairgrounds, the Linn County 4-H Silent Auction was postponed.  So, this year it will be held online!

All of the baskets up for bid have been listed online at bit.ly/4HsilentAuction.  You will find a complete description of each basket as well as a link to the Linn County Iowa 4-H Facebook page where photos of each basket are posted and where you can place your bid for the basket you’re interested in.

Bidding will open until July 31, 2013.  After which the highest bidder will be asked to come to our office and pick up the basket.  We’re located at 383 Collins Road NE in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
