Marion will host its Uptown Market this Saturday, July 13, 2013. Here are details from the Marion Chamber and find other area markets on the Homegrown list:
July 12, 2013 – Uptown Marion Market will take place in City Square Park tomorrow, July 13 from 7:30 a.m. – noon. This year’s market will feature over 50 vendors with fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, honey, organic meat, cheeses, Iowa wines, salsa, jellies and an array of artisan items. In addition, food vendors will be onsite to offer a variety of take-and-eat items. The Uptown Marion Market is held the 2nd Saturday, June – August from 7:30 a.m. – noon (June 8, July 13 and August 10).
Programming for tomorrow’s market includes informational booths by the City of Marion, Linn County Conservation and the ISU Master Gardener Plant Doctors. In addition, the Marion Fire Department will be doing a car extrication demonstration throughout the morning. Pandelirium, a steel drum band from Iowa City, will perform from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. as well as Doug Sayers, a professional juggler and Papa Balloon children’s balloon artist.
