CEDAR RAPIDS – An exceptionally warm day greeted customers at the first Downtown Farmers Market of the season on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

With temperatures climbing into the upper 80s, vendors selling lemonade and other drinks fared particularly well. Many produce vendors also sold out of early season vegetables, such as radishes, lettuce and onions.

The Downtown Farmers Market in Cedar Rapids attracts an average of 14,000 market-goers to each market, with live music and other entertainment, in addition to prepared foods, handmade crafts and more for sale.

This week also marked the first Lion Bridge Brewing Co. farmers market of the season in Czech Village. The second will be Sept. 7.
