The season’s abundance will undoubtedly be evident at this Saturday’s Downtown Farmers Market in Cedar Rapids.

The next Downtown Farmers’ Market is 7:30 a.m. to noon, Sat., Aug. 17 in downtown Cedar Rapids.
More than 220 local Iowa vendors will offer fresh produce, a variety of baked goods, artisan gifts, specialty foods, meats and dairy products.
The month of August offers a wealth of produce for shoppers, including sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, watermelon, berries and much more.
Street performers will be along Third and Fourth Avenues, Second, Third and Fifth Streets SE, as well as in Greene Square Park. Patrons can enjoy entertainment and announcements at the Main Stage on the intersection of Third Street and Fourth Avenue. The venue has been adjusted slightly due to construction projects and progress made in downtown.
Free parking is available in the Fourth Ave. and GTC Ramps, in addition to free on-street parking. Handicap parking is free and available in the Guaranty Bank lot from Second Ave. SE.
