Kathy Tandy of the Oxford Farmers Market wants people to know about all of the good things happening at the weekly market in Johnson County.
The markets operate from 4-7 p.m. Mondays through Oct. 14 at Creekside Park on Mill Street – just a half-hour drive from either Iowa City or Cedar Rapids. Like other Iowa farmers markets, Oxford offers a variety of fresh produce and other homegrown and handmade products. The added bonus is Oxford’s schedule of events, which includes cook-outs by community organizations or restaurants – the famed Augusta is one of those in the rotation – alongside musicians and other entertainment.
If you want a slice of the Midwest, head to Oxford and any of the other dozens of farmers markets found on the Homegrown list. Here is what’s cooking in Oxford in the coming months:
