CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Nearly 50 entries entertained crowds of spectators who lined New Bohemia and Czech Village streets to catch a glimpse of the 2019 Halloween Parade.

With a theme of “Scary Things that go Bump in the Night,” witches, zombies and other ghouls rode on floats and handed out candy to costumed children packing the parade route.

The weather wasn’t particularly frightening for the Saturday, Oct. 26, parade, with temperatures in the upper 40s and clear skies for the third annual night-time event.

Entries included Czech Village and New Bohemia businesses, nonprofits such as Feed Iowa First, dance troupes and the Marion High School Drumline. The parade is organized by Peter Durin and his team.
