A new open exhibition table at the Eastern Iowa Orchid Show and Sale will allow anyone to display their blooming orchid and compete for awards.
The show is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at the Noelridge Park Greenhouse, 4900 Council St. NE, Cedar Rapids.

Sponsored by the Eastern Iowa Orchid Society in cooperation with the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department, the show is free and open to the public.

The orchids must be registered on Friday Oct. 14th 12 -5pm and must remain on the exhibition table till Sunday 4pm. Enjoy the other orchid displays and learn about repotting, basic orchid culture, and how to re-bloom your orchids at educational sessions!
This will be a regional orchid show with flowering orchid displays in Noelridge’s tropical greenhouses. Exhibitors come from throughout the Midwest. Activities will include American Orchid Society orchid judging, beautiful floor and table top displays of orchids and orchid related crafts and collectables. A wide variety of orchid plants will be for sale from reputable vendors. Come and participate in the show. Cast your vote for the ‘People’s Choice Award’ or exhibit your own blooming orchid on the Open Exhibition Table. The show venue offers a fall splash of color with an opportunity to view exotic orchid blooms in artistically arranged displays.
