Fans of Trader Joe’s chocolate, cheese, cookie butter and more will have a new option in Iowa.
The new store, announced Monday, Nov. 28, will open at the Iowa River Landing in Coralville in late 2017.
Currently, the only Iowa store is the Trader Joe’s in West Des Moines.
The new store will be located just off Interstate 80 along First Avenue North in Coralville.
A longstanding movement has been under way to bring a Trader Joe’s to Cedar Rapids, including a Facebook page that attracted hundreds of fans.

Based in California, Trader Joe’s has more than 460 stores nationwide.
